The 2010 census form is supposedly one of the shortest questionnaires in modern history.
President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau Nan Campbell says it's perfectly legit and will only ask ten questions pertaining to things like gender, age and residence.
"I know that they will not ask for social security numbers or any kind personal identification numbers of that nature," says Campbell.
She adds, it won't be available online so that's one scam easily avoided. If you don't send it in, census workers will come to your home.
"They will be wearing badges around their necks. They will have a satchel that has the census logo on it. They will have very very good identification," says Campbell.
Not to worry, though those workers are well-trained and sworn to secrecy.
"The census takers are subject to a $250,000 fine and prison up to five years if they betray that confidence," says Campbell.
While some people may be hesitant to release certain information Campbell says completion of the form is vital for our future.
"This is how they allocate monies to state and counties by your participation, you are voicing what you would like to see back in your community," says Campbell.
You can expect the form in your mailbox early next week.
