Some tough guys donned the halls of Covenants Women and Children's Hospital on Wednesday.
The Red and Black were present to help kick off the Ronald McDonald House Charities "Quarterback SACK campaign." SACK stands for Support And Comfort Kids.
Here's how it works: for every sack tech's defense makes against any opposing teams quarterback, people pledge money to the Ronald McDonald house. The visit boosted everyone's spirits.
"The children absolutely love to meet our local celebrities and heroes and they are getting their autograph and making cookies and decorating cookies with them. It's just a great way for the Red Raider players and coaches to come and spread a little sunshine to a sick child's world," said Dina Jeffries, a coordinator with the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
This is the 9th year for the SACK program. It is one of the largest fundraisers for the RMHC.
